Ikos Olivia is set in 22 acres beside the village of Gerakini, about an hour from Thessaloniki airport. A two-phase redesign for 2024 and 2025 refreshed every room, suite and bungalow and added The Garden, a restaurant you'll only find here.

Our take
Olive groves running down to the sea
Ikos Olivia is one of the two resorts where the Ikos story began in 2015, alongside its sister Ikos Oceania further along the same coast. Bungalows and suites are spread through 22 acres of gardens and mature olive trees, which lead down to a long Blue Flag beach of golden sand.
The recent redesign has given the whole resort a calm, natural look, with five redesigned restaurants, a new Deluxe Bar with a sunset deck and The Garden, which serves Mediterranean dishes with French bistro flair and is exclusive to Ikos Olivia. As always at Ikos, almost everything is included, from à la carte dinners with menus by Michelin-starred chefs to Dine Out at two traditional tavernas a short walk away.
Ikos Olivia suits families with babies and young children best: the Heroes Crèche takes children from six months, there are ramps and lifts for buggies, and two Dine Out tavernas are a short walk away, so a night out needs no taxi. Every room was redesigned in 2025, and The Garden gives you a restaurant you won't find at any other Ikos. Couples who love gardens and a sandy beach will be happy here too, especially outside the school holidays.

What we tell every guest
- With little ones, choose a suite or bungalow with a separate bedroom, so naps can happen behind a closed door.
- Book crèche and kids' club sessions before you travel: ratios are strict, so spaces are limited.
- In the Deluxe Collection you can make unlimited restaurant reservations before you arrive, so you can lock in tables that fit around bedtime.
- Two Deluxe suites are new for 2026, one with a private garden and one with a beachfront balcony. Ask us about them early.
- Some bungalows and balcony suites are on the first floor, reached by stairs. Tell us if you'd prefer the ground floor and we'll request it.
- For families, we'd point you to the Deluxe One Bedroom Bungalow Suite Private Pool, with a separate bedroom and your own pool. For couples, a Panorama Junior Suite gives you a balcony looking out over the Aegean.

Good to know
- All-inclusive covers the à la carte restaurants, the buffet, 24-hour room service, premium wines, the Heroes Kids Club from age four, Dine Out, an electric MINI Countryman for a day and the Culture Pass.
- The Heroes Crèche (six months to four years) costs €42 a session, or €32 for the 13:00 to 15:00 session. Babysitting is also extra.
- The Heroes Supper Club for 4 to 12 year olds runs from 19:00 to 22:00, at €30 per child, and is included in the Deluxe Collection.
- Dine Out currently includes Four Seasons and Mouragio, two traditional Greek tavernas around 200 metres from the resort.
- The Double Bungalows, One Bedroom Bungalow Suites and balcony beachfront suites include first-floor rooms reached by stairs.

Kids & families
Adventure-packed days for every age
Childcare is run by trained professionals with strict child-to-adult ratios, so spaces are limited and it pays to book before you travel. With a baby and an older child, book the morning crèche and Heroes Kids Club sessions together: they overlap from 10:30 to 13:00, giving you a few child-free hours for the spa or the beach.
Heroes Crèche, 6 months to 4 years
Ofsted-approved activities, with one adult to three children for under twos, one to four for two year olds and one to six for three year olds. €42 a session, or €32 for 13:00 to 15:00.
Heroes Kids Club, 4 to 12 years
Included in your stay, with sessions from 10:30 to 13:00, 13:00 to 15:00 and 15:30 to 18:00.
Heroes Supper Club, 4 to 12 years
19:00 to 22:00, €30 per child, included for Deluxe Collection guests.
Older children
Just4Teens for 12 and over, and a Football Academy on weekday mornings for 4 to 12 year olds, from €20 a session.
Baby kit
Baby monitors, toilet adapters, baby baths and prams on request, ramps and lifts for buggies, an indoor playroom and an adventure playground. Babysitting is extra.

The Ikos Spa by Anne Semonin Paris, with a spa pool, thermal suite, fitness studio, and hair and nails. Treatments are extra, and Deluxe Collection suites include two 25-minute neck and back massages per stay.
On the water
A Blue Flag beach with canoes, paddleboards and pedalos for 20 minutes a day, an hour of windsurfing per stay (licence required) and a trial dive in the pool.
On land and further afield
Two floodlit tennis courts, a five-a-side pitch, yoga, Pilates and fitness classes, plus an electric MINI Countryman for a day and the Culture Pass for exploring Halkidiki.
