Ocean, river and expedition cruises
Luxury cruises, planned by people who sail them
From Explora Journeys in the Mediterranean to the Galápagos and the great rivers of Europe, we match you to the right ship, the right suite and the right voyage.
We have sailed with the lines we recommend, and we look after the whole trip: flights at sensible times, a night or two in a lovely hotel before you board, private transfers and every detail in between. Booking with us costs no more than booking direct with the cruise line.
Why cruise with Huben
We sail, so you can choose with confidence
We sailed EXPLORA I from Istanbul to Genoa with two of our most seasoned cruising guests, calling at Athens, Mykonos and Patmos along the way. Our verdict: the most relaxed, contemporary luxury we have found at sea, with food to rival the best restaurants on land.
Louise, our marketing manager, sailed Riverside Ravel through Burgundy and came home talking about her suite, the regional French cooking and watching the crew lower the sun deck bar and canopies to slip under the low bridges of the Saône.
Our guests sail with lines such as Silversea too, so our advice comes from first-hand experience and real feedback, not brochures.

How they compare
Three very different ways to travel. Here is how we explain them to our guests.
| Topic | Ocean | River | Expedition |
|---|---|---|---|
| The idea | A floating luxury hotel that brings you somewhere new most days, with days at sea to unwind. | Gentle journeys through the heart of Europe, mooring close to historic towns and famous wine regions. | Remote places such as the Galápagos and Antarctica, explored by Zodiac with expert naturalist guides. |
| Ship size | From under 100 guests on the smallest yachts to around 3,000 on Cunard's Queen Anne. | Around 110 to 160 guests on Riverside's ships. | Usually 100 to 250 guests, and no more than 100 in the Galápagos. |
| Voyage length | Usually 7 to 14 nights, or combine voyages for a longer journey. | From 3 nights to around 2 weeks. | Around 7 nights in the Galápagos. Antarctica from 6 days by fly-cruise to 3 weeks or more. |
| Best for | First-time cruisers, food lovers and anyone who loves waking up somewhere new. | Wine, culture and scenery at an easy, unhurried pace. | Wildlife lovers and adventurous travellers who still want real comfort. |
| Our tip | Choose a line for its atmosphere as much as its itinerary. We will tell you which one suits you. | Ask for a suite with a panoramic window. The view from your bed is half the joy. | Book early, as the smallest ships and the best suites go first. |
