Our take
Mallorca, the Ikos way
Ikos Porto Petro opened in 2023 on Mallorca's south-east coast, near the fishing village of Porto Petro and the Mondragó Natural Park. Low-rise buildings sit among the pines along a kilometre of coastline between two coves, and Palma airport is around 60km away, under an hour's drive.
2026 brings the biggest changes since it opened: Deluxe three and four bedroom villas with private gardens and infinity pools, new one bedroom suites around a new central pool, and Ouzo, a Greek restaurant beside a pool. Elsewhere, Fresco has a menu by Michelin-starred chef Ettore Botrini and Oliva is curated by two-Michelin-starred chef Andoni Luis Aduriz.
We'd point guests to Ikos Porto Petro if they'd rather have pine-fringed coves and the Mondragó Natural Park on the doorstep than a long stretch of sand. It suits couples, with private garden rooms and menus by Michelin-starred chefs, and larger families, with residences and new villas that have their own pools. Reviewers regularly praise the staff and the food, and Palma airport is under an hour away.

What we tell every guest
- For bigger families, the Deluxe two and three bedroom residences have private pools and front coastal views, and the new villas sleep up to seven or eight.
- The Double Room is adapted for guests with reduced mobility, so tell us what you need and we'll request it when we book.
- Book the crèche and kids' club sessions before you travel: ratios are strict, so spaces are limited.
- In the Deluxe Collection the Heroes Supper Club is included, so you can enjoy a quiet dinner while the children eat with their friends.
- Make Oliva one of your first dinner bookings, for Andoni Luis Aduriz's contemporary take on Spanish cooking, then finish with a nightcap at the Porto Petro Bar.

Good to know
- All-inclusive covers the à la carte restaurants, The Market, more than 100 wines, a minibar replenished daily, the Heroes Kids Club from age four, Just4Teens and Dine Out.
- The crèche (six months to four years) costs €42 a session, or €32 for the 13:00 to 15:00 session. Babysitting is also extra.
- The Heroes Supper Club for 4 to 12 year olds runs from 19:00 to 22:00, at €30 per child, and is included in the Deluxe Collection.
- Canoes, paddleboards and pedalos are included once a day for 30 minutes, subject to local regulations. The Football Academy runs Monday to Friday, from €30 a session.

Where you'll stay
All seventeen room types at Ikos Porto Petro, grouped the way Ikos groups them, including the new suites and villas for 2026. The Deluxe Collection adds a dedicated concierge, its own pool and beach area, advance restaurant reservations and two massages per suite or villa.
Couples should ask for the Superior Double Room Private Garden, a quiet, romantic choice with its own garden. In the Deluxe Collection, ask for the Deluxe Junior Suite Sea or Partial Sea View, with a balcony looking out along the coastline.

Clubs run indoors and out across the gardens and pools, with childcare in line with UK Ofsted standards and healthy children's menus in the restaurants. Spaces are limited by strict ratios, so we book sessions before you travel.
Heroes Crèche, 6 months to 4 years
Sensory and messy play and outdoor exploration, with ratios from one adult to three children for under twos. €42 a session, or €32 for 13:00 to 15:00.
Heroes Kids Club, 4 to 12 years
Theatrical performances, organised sports and arts and crafts, at no extra cost.
Heroes Supper Club, 4 to 12 years
A buffet dinner and supervised fun from 19:00 to 22:00, €30 per child, complimentary for Deluxe Collection guests.
Just4Teens and Football Academy
Just4Teens for 12 and over, from team sports to mocktail classes, at no extra cost. The Football Academy runs Monday to Friday mornings with professional coaches, from €30 a session.
Baby kit
Baby monitors, baby baths, toilet adapters and prams on request, ramps and lifts for buggies, an adventure playground, and babysitting at an extra charge.
With young children, a private garden gives everyone space to play outside the door: the Family Room Private Garden sleeps four, and the Deluxe One Bedroom Suite Private Pool sleeps five with a pool of its own. Ask us to request prams and baby kit when we book, so you can travel light.

The Ikos Spa by Anne Semonin Paris, with a spa pool, Thermal Suite, private treatment rooms and a hair and nails salon. Treatments are extra; Deluxe Collection stays include two neck and back massages per suite or villa.

Canoes, paddleboards and pedalos in the coves, an introductory dive in the hotel pool, and private boat tours, yacht charters and scuba diving at an extra cost.
Pools and sport
Padel, three tennis courts with coastal views, a mini football pitch, a fitness studio, aqua aerobics, yoga and Pilates, plus a Reformer Pilates programme.
