Our take
The beach resort of the Corfu pair
Ikos Dassia is set within 25 acres of fragrant pines and olive groves on Corfu's east coast, running down to an exclusively serviced 600 metre stretch of fine white sand. There are eight pools, eight restaurants and eight bars, so there is always somewhere new to try, and the airport is only 20 minutes away.
Rooms run from 25 m² doubles to a beachfront three bedroom villa with its own pool and Jacuzzi. The Deluxe Collection adds a dedicated concierge, its own pool and bar, and the chance to reserve restaurants before you arrive. Its sister resort, Ikos Odisia, sits just across the water.
Ikos Dassia suits families who want a beach holiday: the 600 metre stretch of fine white sand is the heart of the resort, and the clubs run from the crèche at six months to Just4Teens. Reviewers regularly single out the food, and with eight restaurants you can eat somewhere different every night of your week. It works for multi-generational groups too, and couples have an adults-only pool bar.

- With children, look at a suite with a separate bedroom: the One Bedroom Suite sleeps up to five, with sea views from its balcony.
- For your own pool on the sand, choose one of the Deluxe Collection beachfront suites, or the three bedroom villa with its own Jacuzzi and outdoor dining.
- In the Deluxe Collection you can reserve restaurants in advance, so you can plan your evenings before you fly.
- Golfers get a complimentary morning round at Corfu Golf Club once per stay; bring a green card or handicap certificate.

Good to know
- All-inclusive covers the eight restaurants, more than 100 premium wines, the kids' club from age four, Dine Out, an electric MINI for a day and a Culture Pass.
- The crèche (six months to four years) costs €42 a session, or €32 for the 13:00 to 15:00 session. Babysitting is also extra.
- The Heroes Supper Club for 4 to 12 year olds runs from 19:00 to 22:00, at €30 per child, and is included in the Deluxe Collection.
- Dine Out currently includes Dora Fish Tavern at Corfu's New Port, about 10km away, and Agora Restaurant at the Old Port, about 14km away.
- A morning round of 9 or 18 holes at Corfu Golf Club is included once per stay, with green fee, equipment, buggy and transfers.

Where you'll stay
Fifteen room types, in three groups. Every room has air conditioning, a Smart TV, Wi-Fi, a mini bar and Anne Semonin bathroom amenities. The Deluxe Collection adds a dedicated concierge, its own pool and bar, unlimited restaurant reservations in advance and two neck and back massages per suite or villa per stay. With young children, we'd choose the Deluxe One Bedroom Suite, with a separate bedroom and a private garden. Couples should ask for a sea view Superior Double Room, or treat themselves to the Deluxe Junior Suite Bungalow Private Pool.

Kids & families
Clubs for every age
Ikos runs its Heroes clubs to UK Ofsted standards, with low ratios for the youngest children. Our advice: plan your days around the timetable. A morning Heroes Kids Club session for the over fours leaves you free for the spa or your round at Corfu Golf Club, and you're back together for lunch.
Heroes Crèche, 6 months to 4 years
Sessions from 10:00 to 13:00, 13:00 to 15:00 and 15:00 to 18:00. One adult to three children for under twos. €42 a session, or €32 for 13:00 to 15:00.
Heroes Kids Club, 4 to 12 years
Included in your stay, with sessions from 10:30 to 13:00, 13:00 to 15:00 and 15:30 to 18:00.
Heroes Supper Club, 4 to 12 years
19:00 to 22:00, with dinner and supervised activities. €30 per child, included for Deluxe Collection guests.
Older children
Just4Teens for 12 and over, a Football Academy for 4 to 12 year olds (€20 to €25 a session) and week-long Football Escapes camps for 5 to 15 year olds.
Baby kit
Baby monitors, toilet seat adapters, baby baths and pram hire on request, and babysitting at an extra charge.
Babies can join the crèche from six months, but the clubs are best value from four, when the Heroes Kids Club is included. Spaces are strictly limited, so we'd book every session well before you fly, especially in school holidays.

Spa and wellness
The Ikos Spa by Anne Semonin Paris is open daily from 08:00 to 20:00 and free for adults to use, with a heated indoor pool, a steam bath and sauna, seven treatment rooms and a fitness studio. Treatments are extra.
Sport and the sea
Two floodlit tennis courts, complimentary bikes and mountain biking, yoga and Pilates, plus paddling, canoeing and pedalos for 20 minutes a day and an hour's windsurfing per stay. Motorised watersports are extra.
Local discovery
An electric MINI Countryman for a day, two in the Deluxe Collection, plus a Culture Pass with entry to the Museum of Asian Art and the Old Fortress in Corfu Town, and a round at Corfu Golf Club.
