Riverside Luxury Cruises · River cruising
Riverside river cruises
All-suite river ships with butler service, beautiful regional food and wine, and Europe's loveliest towns and vineyards drifting past your window.
Riverside was founded in 2022 by the family behind the Seaside Collection hotels. Our marketing manager, Louise, sailed Riverside Ravel through Burgundy and has not stopped talking about it since. Booking with us costs the same as booking direct with Riverside.

What we tell every guest
Louise's verdict from on board
Louise sailed the three-night Burgundy Bliss round trip from Lyon aboard Riverside Ravel. Her standout moment was walking into her Riverside Suite for the first time: 24 square metres, a marble bathroom, butler service and floor-to-ceiling windows that open almost like a balcony.
She loves ocean cruising, but found this completely different: more intimate, closer to the water and the scenery, and utterly serene. The food was a highlight too, with regional French cooking, local wines and a sommelier who paired them to her taste.
Her biggest surprise was watching the crew lower the sun deck bar and canopies to slip under the Saône's low bridges with only centimetres to spare.

Everything you need to know
Riverside at a glance
The questions our guests ask most, answered.
| The feel | Relaxed, warm and quietly luxurious, more boutique hotel than cruise ship, with a sociable atmosphere that suits couples, friends, families with older children and solo travellers. |
|---|---|
| The ships | Riverside Mozart on the Danube, Riverside Ravel on the Rhône and Saône, and Riverside Debussy on the Rhine and Moselle. Riverside Mahler joins the fleet in 2028. |
| Suites | All suites, from 18 to 82 square metres. Ravel and Debussy suites have panoramic windows, and most suite categories on Mozart have French balconies. The larger suites include VIP transfers, and the top Mozart suites include laundry. |
| Fares | Choose Full Board, or Premium All Inclusive for premium wines, spirits and champagne, 24-hour room service and your minibar, each with or without excursions. |
| On every fare | Gratuities, Starlink Wi-Fi, butler service and transfers from selected airports on your embarkation and disembarkation days. |
| Costs extra | Private Connoisseur Collection excursions, other transfers, dinner in the Vintage Room and flights, which we arrange for you. |
| Dress code | Smart casual. Shorts, T-shirts and flip-flops are not worn in the restaurant in the evening. |
| Children | Under-18s share a suite with an adult. There are no children's clubs, and Riverside does not recommend its cruises for children aged 3 to 12. |
| On board | English is spoken throughout and the currency is the euro. |
Inclusions are as published by Riverside and can change. We will confirm exactly which fare you are on, and what it includes, when we quote.
The ships
Three ships, three great rivers
Each ship has its own river and its own character. Here is how they differ.

Riverside Mozart

Riverside Ravel
Sails from Lyon and Avignon through Burgundy and Provence, with the Waterside restaurant, the Atelier, the Palm Court lounge, the private Vintage Room and a glass-roofed indoor pool.

Riverside Debussy

Our favourite short break
Burgundy Bliss on the Saône
Three nights round trip from Lyon aboard Riverside Ravel, calling at Villefranche-sur-Saône, Mâcon and Chalon-sur-Saône. There are nine departures between 30 May and 13 October 2027, or on eight of those dates extend it into the seven-night Southern France Sojourn from Lyon to Avignon.
- Château de Cormatin and its boxwood maze
- Macaron, chocolate, cheese and wine tastings in Chalon-sur-Saône
- E-bike rides through the vineyards for the more energetic
- A mixology class and wine tastings on board
- A night or two in Lyon before you sail, which we can arrange
From Louise's own voyage. Excursions vary by departure and fare.

Dining
A floating culinary resort
Ingredients are bought fresh from local markets along the way, and the menus lean into each region. On Ravel and Debussy:
- The Waterside Restaurant: lavish breakfast and lunch buffets with a live pasta station, and à la carte dinners cooked to order
- The Atelier: a more intimate setting for dinner, with a small cover charge on Full Board fares
- A pop-up bar and grill on the upper deck for lunch in the sunshine
- The Vintage Room: a private table for up to 10, with a six or seven-course tasting menu and vintage wines (extra cost)
- Coffee corners and room service around the clock
Riverside Mozart has four restaurants of its own.
